Eternal Return is an ode to motherhood.
In this work the female roles of a family structure are highlighted and celebrated as powerful, strong and of great importance to the way we grow up and perceive ourselves.
Starting from an autobiographical point of view, this work is created in order to explore questions regarding the family members’ relationships, and how those impact both our childhood and adulthood.
Real and fictional memories are fragmented into sections in order to stress points of relevant importance to the present days. The performers play different roles that swap throughout the piece, exploring the relationships between one another. It delves into these connections both spacial and emotionally, trying to understand the importance of each individual and their roles, as well as our capacity to select and compose the ideal family structure ourselves, according to what and whom we value the most.
Eternal Return is a cyclic and never ending Thank You, as well as a Goodbye.
